Some Standard Surface Singularities

The first three singularities are the generic singularities for CMC surfaces in Minkowski 3-space. The crosscap, or Whitney singularity, is the only generic singularity for arbitrary smooth surfaces in 3-space. The crosscap is an isolated singuarity, while the cuspidal crosscap lies on a cuspidal edge.
